Baile Charme AI Trend Explained
Last updated:
The Baile Charme AI trend is a short AI-made video in which someone appears dancing the charme step in the middle of a packed night-time party, filmed on a phone. It went viral on TikTok in October 2026, and the joke is seeing the person nobody expected to dance in the middle of the crowd.
The trend, explained
The format never changes: a packed street party, orange lights, people dancing in rows and, in the middle, one person owning the step with calm and attitude while everyone around films. The AI versions keep that scene and swap only who is in the middle: you, grandpa, the family dog.
Where it came from
The scene is inspired by baile charme, the Rio de Janeiro dance and black music party that goes back to the 1980s. The best-known one has taken place under the Negrão de Lima viaduct in Madureira since 1990.
The sound
The trend videos share one sound on TikTok and Reels. Our video already comes with the trend sound. When you post, pick that sound inside the app too, so your video shows up on the sound’s page with the others.
Why it spread
Contrast: the least likely person in the middle of the crowd is instantly funny. It is easy to get, because the scene tells the joke without a long caption. And it is easy to repeat: with AI anyone can put themselves, a friend or a pet in the same scene.
Baile charme is not funk
Some tutorials call it a "Brazilian funk dance AI" trend. The step is charme, with side steps and no hurry, to R&B and soul, not funk carioca.
Make it with Baile Charme IA
